LIBRARY RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. General Reference Materials/Books (Encyclopedia, Dictionary, Atlas, etc.) shall be for room use only. However, these may be issued for classroom use upon request of a faculty member, but these shall be returned within the day.

  2.  Periodicals – newspapers, magazines, pamphlets and journals shall be for room use only.

  3.  Bonafide members of this school who register for the library privileges shall be required to obtain the following:

  4. Student’s Identification Card or “Library I.D” valid for the current school year or semester;

  5.  Faculty/ Staff Identification Card or appointment papers; and

  6.  Library Clearance.

  7.  Students of CCC may borrow not more than two (2) books at a time with different titles for a period of 2 weeks.

  8.  Faculty/ Staff of the CCC may borrow not more than three (3) books at a time with different titles for a period of 2 weeks.

  9.   Books borrowed during the second semester, shall be returned without renewal of loan for the mandated annual inventory.

  10.  Failure to return a circulation book borrowed for overnight loan shall pay a fine of sixty-five centavos per hour or five pesos (₱ 5.00) a day, exclusive of Sundays and Holidays.

  11.  Any person who loses or fails to return the book he/she borrowed shall either replace it with the same title or pay its current replacement value.

  12.  Pocket books can be borrowed for one (1) week and re-borrow for another week, if not needed by other students. Failure to return the book borrowed a fine of five pesos (₱ 5.00) per day will be charged.

  13.  A borrower is held responsible for all the books he signs for, when no longer needed it should be returned as soon as possible.

  14.  Any student who uses someone’s Library I.D will be suspended to all library privileges for 2 weeks.

  15.  Student who loses his Library I.D shall report the loss immediately to the librarian. She/he shall pay the corresponding fee for a new Library I.D.

  16. Observe silence while inside the library and maintain the cleanliness inside and outside of the library.

  17. Non-residents and other researchers can also avail of our library services provided they will submit an endorsement letter duly signed by the School Librarian where they are enrolled in, but they cannot borrow or bring the book outside the library.

TEN SIMPLE WAYS TO CARE FOR AND LOVE YOUR LIBRARY:



  • Handle library materials with care

  • Refrain from hiding, damaging and intentionally missed shelving books.

  • Return chairs back to their proper place after use.

  • Maintain conservation at a minimum level.

  • Dispose garbage properly.

  • Respect other users (behave properly inside the library)

  • Put mobile phone on silent mode.

  • Avoid damaging the shelves, tables and chairs.

  • Return books on time.

  • Return books, newspapers, magazines back to their proper place after use while inside the library.
